Help buying blue screen touch development kit

Hey there

I’ve been looking into buying the thai easy electronics blue 2.8 tft touch screen development kit, it has an arm7 tdmi ( NXP LPC2378) to my knowledge, can’t seem to find too much about that specific model on the internet?

But what i was really curious about is if i will be able to use the jtag usb OCD tiny with eclipse ide, open ocd and winarm?

Also do i need winarm or is there something else? better maybe?

If anyone could help me out i’d appreciate it thanks.

Download the LPC23xx user manual UM10211 from:

There are a few previous Bluescreen-related discussions here that might help:

Thanks for the links

as for that user manual, every model has usb and it says the 2378 of all models has ethernet which the development kit has neither? the manual may have the information but it seems to either be a different model altogether or it just has a lot more information then the thai easy blue screen board has.

Im new to arm processors only ever worked with a HCS12 development kit so pardon me if i am asking noob questions or just missing something.

Also as for the JTAG USB OCD tiny i have already looked at everything i could find in the forums as well as several other forums and im still not sure if it will actually work with open ocd?

again any help would be appreciated thanks

It doesn't have ethernet connection but it does have a mini-B USB connector.

All LPC2378 MCUs have the same capabilities but they are extremely configurable. Most pins typically have 3 or 4 different possible uses depending on how the end-user configures the chip in software. Which of those pins are actually connected to onboard peripherals or made available via connectors, jumpers etc. depends on whatever the board designer has chosen to target.

You can see exactly what has been implemented on the Bluescreen board by downloading the Bluescreen user manual from:

Can't help you there, sorry. We haven't had a need for JTAG so it hasn't been an issue for us. I suggest you ask ThaiEasyElec - their sales and support email address is here:

Use Keil mdk402.exe , u ll be belssed…

Its a lot easeir to handle…

download it from torrent site.

I can tell you that the JTAG USB OCD tiny does work with Crossworks and the BlueScreen board.
