Help me choose a 32 kHz crystal

Hi all,

Please help me choose a 32 kHz crystal (along with package in Eagle) that is available at European distributors. I’m tired of searching for one in Eagle library. Currently I designed my board using a crystal of package MM20SS (equivalent to Citizen America’s CM200 and CM250C Series). But I have to order it at US distributors.

Thanks

Though this isn’t answering your question directly, here’s my advice: Don’t look for parts based on your board. Instead, design your board around the cheapest/most available parts. Don’t worry about the default libraries, they’re not great, and they definitely don’t cover many parts. Just source the components and make your own library files if they don’t exist.

Hello,

I am also not answering your question directly but to my knowledge, designing land patterns for new devices is very easy in Eagle. I have been learning eagle for a week now and have designed 3 parts with 0.5 mm pitch smd pads. As long as you have a proper datasheet it’s very easy. Sparkfun has a very nice tutorial about this too.

here is a nice video tutorial that I also like

One more thing is that, since you are in Germany, you have a huge amount of alternatives to choose from. Aside from digikey, farnell, mouser there is also reichelt. I am %100 sure that there are many more.

Yes, Rolf you are right. I designed my board first and now looking for the parts as I did not know this problem then. Fortunately found all devices other than one crystal. Now I made it  Thank you

I found one in Farnell. Thank you Rifat. The video tutorials are amazing. I do not like reading I prefer watching videos. Such videos are helpful for people like me.
