Hi -
I am looking for an eagle library for 7x5mm crystal oscillator packages. I haven’t found one, and am hoping to not have to make it myself. Surely somebody is using this type of part in a design?
Thanks,
Ben

Ben,
Not to rain on your parade…but it is always better to do it yourself, than to rely on someone else to get it right.
Order the part, draw the footprint, then print the footprint 1.1 ratio. Lay the part on top…it should work.
Plus…when you run across a package, which you can’t find, you will be educated about drawing your own.
Just my advice,

agreed. I’ll add, making a library part is pretty easy. That one should take you no more than 10 minutes once you are up to speed on the library editor. There are several tutorials out there. Definitely find one.
On the underlying point James was making. Never trust an eagle part - you don’t know where it’s been! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Seriously, you need to verify every single part - footprint and pin assignments. I know this for a fact. I made one board where I didn’t paper fit it and the part was wrong. Kind of ruins your day…

Ha…I’ll one up you,
I made two boards a footprint was pinned out wrong. It really made for a bad day…especially, because I didn’t check and killed two chips.
I draw my own chips now. I will however use passive footprints.
