need a much closer photo! See writing on RF can, PCB both sides, etc.
If you are looking for a small form factor with well documented use, go with the Anaren Air module. They are based around the TI CC1101 and are packed full of features. They communicate via SPI since they have their own on board 64Byte TX and RX buffers. And the best news is that hey can be had through Arrow electronics for $12.50 each. They are SMT and there is no breakout but if you go through TI direct you can get what they call a Booster Pack for $19.00 which contains 2 modules on boards that have room for prototyping. The last best news is that they are available in 433,868,915 and 2.4.
I wish Sparkfun would carry these on a a breakout!
