Hello,
I recently bought the AD594/AD595 Thermocouple Amplifier from SparkFun to use with a thermocouple. We set up the circuit with a thermocouple, thermocouple amplifier, and Arduino based on this page:
https://www.electronicwings.com/arduino … rduino-uno
Using the Arduino Serial Monitor, the setup seems to read temperature correctly for a few seconds, but then the readings jump all over the place to incorrect values. This was verified with a thermometer device that we used alongside it. We also found that the + and - pins for numbers 1 and 14 from this page are wrong since they are switched according to the Thermocouple Amplifier’s data sheet. Are there any suggestions to help fix this?
In addition, below is the link for the thermocouple amplifier itself.

The product description says that it only requires a decoupling capacitor, and I was wondering if more detail could be provided about this. I checked the data sheet for the decoupling capacitor, and there doesn’t seem to be much information about the setup for it and the size. Could any more additional information be given for it?
Thank you
