Hi Everyone,
Please excuse me for my english, I’m French
I baught a pressure (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12909 ) sensor to make a CTD for open science.
But when I place sensor in hole and when I pull it, I breaked the white resin ont the top.
Do you know what resin is it ?
Can I repair it with silicon ?
Thank you
Best regards
gheleguen
Unfortunately, per the datasheet https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sen … 3_14ba.pdf, those are calibrated in-factory after the resin has set…I do not believe you will have much luck in achieving a repair, though you can always give it a try
The datasheet does not inform us of the material used…so it makes this even more tricky. Maybe swing by a marine hardware store and see if they have any knowledge/expertise? Sometimes you can get lucky talking to an old sailor who has used many types of chemical resins over the years.
Other than those options, it might be best to simply replace the board.
Hope this helps!
