HX711 for 12v load cell

It’s that possible to use HX711 for 12v load cell?

Provide the 12v power by other sources and share the gnd to 711 and arduino?

If not,It’s there any module I can use for ?

Hi enomore.

Your load cell needs to connect directly to the “RED”, “BLK”, “WHT”, and “GRN” pads on the HX711 board. The board will take care of applying the needed voltage for the HX711 to be able to read it and there’s no need to supply an external voltage. By giving the load cell 12 volts, you almost certainly damage the HX711.

Even though your load cell specifies 12 volts, it will function with 3.3 to 5 volts. :slight_smile:
