I need "XBee-PRO 868"

I need new “XBee-PRO 868” , Where I Can buy it? :?:

http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.asp … ee+pro+868

I’m guessing your in europe (hence the 868 rather than 900MHz) so Mouser isn’t the best place. I don’t know about the shipping direct from digi it’s self but they offer a pir plus a load of unwanted stuff for 120 euros. But still if Mouser’s shipping is at a good price then perhaps they are the best people

mouser doesn’t have the modules right now, but I asked when they are back in stock.

Apparently if you order over 75€ you get free shipping (and since each module cost over 50€…)…

Hello, i think in build my own rf transmiter for radio model purposes using Some kind of radio modem and a set of ucontrolers like Atmega8.

The product Xbee sounds perfect for my purposes.

I need to know if with the parts in the development kit

is posible to construct an emmiter (ic + anntena) and a receiver IC + anntena ensuring a range of at least 5 Km.

I can do everything, in a short time, except the RF comunication

Any people interested in colaborate on a proyect like this whit me?

Thanks in advance

I had a look through the datasheets of the 868. There is a mayor drawback to the modules: you can only send 300 bytes per second, because of the 10% duty cycle limit per hour. After that the modules stop sending to cool down.

Personally I would go with the X-Bee Pro 2.4GHz or the 900MHz modules (if you can get them in Europe…). They do not have the range, but if you only send between two non-moving targets, then you can use a high gain antenna to get more range.
