Greetings. I melted an ID-20 yesterday and I’m not sure why. I was trying to get an arduino up and running off of a 4x AA battery pack with a regulator (along with the ID-20) and I think I must have hooked both the arduino and the ID-20 directly up to the pack voltage, not the regulated voltage. Not totally sure. The arduino does not seem to be affected, but the ID-20 has a nice melted hole in the center.
So my question for the group is, do you think that ~6.1v is enough to cook an ID20 (looks like the max of the recommended supply range is ~5.6v)? Or should I be looking for something else that I might have done incorrectly. Also, can an arduino survive 6.1v applied to Vin?
Thanks,
Chris
