Import MDM , module not responding

I am new to both python and GM862 module. I have a GM862 with the usb evaluation board.

Type : GM862-GPS

IMEI : 358278000239681

IC : 5131A-GM862G

LOT N : 4606 7S024013H00

Currently using

python version: 2.5.4

python win:pywin32-210.win32-py2.5

python serial: pyserial-2.4.win32

Set the “com5” in the MDM.py (COM5, this is the port I set the hyper terminal to get the module to work). The module is working through hyper terminal. When I open the python IDLE and type in “import MDM” , I a popup with the warning “module not responding do you want to retry”. YES repeats the popup, NO gives the following message in the IDLE

Any ideas of how to get the python import MDM module to work…

I have COM6 and if I try with rsterm and all is OK but with PythonWin I get:

The module is nom responding!

Do you want to retry communicate?

YES NO

Where is problem?

How parameters from Choice.exe are set?

Why not working?
