IMU 6DOF option without bluetooth and other questions

HI, I’m interested in building a UAV and need an IMU. I’m impressed with the 5DOF (but want it in an SPI bus), and like the IMU 6DOF - v3 with Bluetooth boards you have, but would love something in between as I don’t really need the bluetooth (limited range), and I need a 3 axis magnetometer plus GPS, etc., - is there an option to buy the 6DOF board without bluetooth (I noticed an email elsewhere on your site suggesting a custom board w/out BT was built for someone else)?

I also noticed Analog Devices announced the ADIS16350 Tri-axis inertial sensor chip with SPI bus support (AD suggest <$250?) - any chance you will put that on a breakout board, or even better build it into a new IMU/6DOF board with 3 axis magnetometer, pressure/altimiter, and if possible a GPS.

Which GPS do you recommend for use in a small UAV - the eTeK 5Hz receiver or the EM-406A looked OK?

If the 6DOF V3 board is still my best bet - I’m probably going to need another micro board for my project to interface with it and some other sensors, drive servos, etc. Any developer boards you can recommend from your range: whichever is your favourite, and one with a compatible micro to the 6DOF V3 (ARM?), and with an SPI bus, etc on it? (Preferably something easy to setup with opensource tools, etc)

I’m also interested in a longer range transceiver link - what would you suggest? It needs to be painless like the systems you stock, but I need high throughput (compress and pass through a low-res video stream) and a couple of miles range to be useful (I don’t mind adding an RF amp stage onto an existing transceiver product). The xBee ZigBee Pro evaluator kit looks OK - nay suggestions.

Another useful product you coulod sell would be a USB to SPI adapter (and whatever other IC manufacturer bus systems are popular like CAN as well) to allow simple prototyping by stringing together components.(I’d buy one now!)

I’m based in Oz and have contacted Ocean Controls locally - so I’ll probably order through them if possible.

I think your site and products are fantastic - keep up the great work! (By the way my wife hates you because I keep showing her products and components off your website that I’m going to order!)

Cheers, Michael.
