IR thermometer setup + switch

HI everyone,

I have a setup of an IR thermometer as shown attached and a switch, problem is this switch works oppositely - meaning to say when i toggle to “O” the circuit switches on instead of off, and when i toggle to “I” it switches off instead of on, anyone experienced this before or would happen to know what is the issue?

Between you’re two images, the wiring has completely changed. We need a picture of the current wiring, both of the whole circuit and the back of the switch without alterations.
