Is my basic LCD display 3.3v or 5v?

My basic LCD display looks like could be either product. But code on label does not match either product image. Can’t find text “3.3” or “5” anywhere on silk screen.

I’m not from the sparkfun team. It seems like you got a normal 5V LCD.

Because as far as I can see on the website, the 3.3V has 3.3V mentioned in their labels. Which one did you order actually?

Ordered long ago. Just pulled out of my parts bin. Was still in mylar pack but no label on there

From what I see on back label, there is no 3.3 or 5. Just a code at end like K-B, K or YBS.

Can you show me where is 3.3v? Thanks.

It’s working fine on Arduino Uno R3 at 5v

the best way to go about it is by practical testing. You can do that by powering the LCD and see at which voltage does it function. Definitely start by introducing the lower voltage of 3.3V and if it works from this voltage just stop and continue with your project. If it does not work then of course it means it needs higher voltage let us say 5V. If in both case it does not work then it does not fall between the staged range or even it might be faulty.
