Issue with PulseView installation for TOL-18627 (8-channel, 24MHz USB logic analyzer)

Hi team,

I recently acquired TOL-18627 (8-channel, 24MHz USB logic analyzer) from SparkFun. I tried to download the PulseView software to interface with the analyzer, available at:

I followed the instructions given at:

I downloaded “PulseView 0.4.2 (64bit)”, because the most recent versions have the download link broken (as stated at the beginning of the web page).

Before installing the downloaded software, I passed the (.exe) file through a virus analyzer, and I got some threat alerts (possible virus threats at the installation file).

Are there any problems with the PulseView installer? Is there any other software I can download to interface the logic analyzer?

It looks safe to me https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/caa4 … /detection ; I’d say just use the stable release and if you’re still concerned maybe install/use it within a virtual machine or containerize it :slight_smile:
