I bought a jetbot 2.1 a while back. It sat on my shelf because of other priorities but I recently put it together. When I turned it on, after a few minutes, the oled display turns on but only shows a bunch of random pixels. I connected the jetbot to a monitor and the system appears to come up OK. I set up the wifi but when I try to connect to the jetbot from my desktop I get a network timeout trying to connect. I’ve pulled down the sd card image “sparkfun_4GB_jetbot_v01-21” and flashed a new card but it is doing the same thing. I’m not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated…
Well, I was able to connect to the jetbot from my desktop computer and make it move. Looks like the only problem so far is the oled. Here is a link to a photo of the problem:
Try using the older 1-10 or 1-11 image(s) linked here https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/as … rom-nvidia and then after you can re-flash with the newer one
Then if it’s still random pixels it might be a dead screen (if so, head to www.sparkfun.com/returns/ and we’ll get a new screen sent out)
I tried both versions with the same results. Since I’m way over the 30 day return I went ahead and ordered a new one. Thanks for the help…
The new oled display works just fine. Thanks for the help…
