Jetson Nano Dev Kit Inopperable

Hello my team recently purchased a SparkFun JetBot AI Kit Powered by NVIDIA Jetson Nano for a project that we are working on for research. out of the box the jetson nano itself will not power although I’ve given it many different sources of power. I’ve worked with a jetson nano before and used the same power supply that that one uses to try and power this one but to no avail it did not work. I’m trying to find out where I can get a replacement cause I’m sure that the Jetson Nano board itself was shipped faulty.

Hi JCMNoah.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Go to page in the link below and enter your order number and in the “Why do you want a RMA?” section enter the URL for this post and we can help.

As a tip, in case anyone else has a similar issue:

  • - Check that the 2-pin jumper for selecting the power source is removed to use the micro-USB; otherwise, if it is connected that board will only accept power from the barrel jack.
  • - Double check that the "pink" jack on the battery is connected to the Jetson as it is rated for (~3A), which the Jetson needs. The black connector is only rated for (.5-1A), which is too low for the Jetson to run on.
