Does the motor power supply (9 v in my application). Feed the 5 v and 3.3 v. Pins?

Do I need to supply a separate voltage for the board logic?

I am using it as a stand alone ie not plugged into arduino

As a shield. Driving logic from a esp32 . Hope3.3 v into pins will work

The VIN is separate from the 5V and 3.3V lines. You can power motors with these voltages, so they can be tied to VIN. However, you’ll need to supply the correct voltage that’s needed for your specific motors.
