Is the module capable of operating in condititions where both L1 and L2 signals are absent? Is it capable of both acquisition and tracking on L5-only and is there an NMEA output on the board?
Hi @Enthusiast ,
Why would L1 and L2 be absent? Do you mean jammed / spoofed? I don’t know if any GNSS receivers can operate on L5-only. But, if any can, I’m sure the X5 would be able to.
You can configure an NMEA output stream on any of the COM ports: hardware COM1-COM4; or the two USB virtual ports USB1 and USB2; or TCP on Ethernet-over-USB. Unlike most GNSS receivers, NMEA output is not enabled by default on the X5. But it is easy to set up a stream, and save the configuration so it will restart automatically after a power cycle.
I hope this helps,
Paul
