any idea what parameter one needs to change in Eagle to enable large sized connections from the walls of a via to a connected layer.

thanks… i do have that enabled but it doesn’t seem to do it.
I have also set the via(s) as SUP in the schematics.
The other settings in the supply tab in drc i have are:
Thermal Isolate - 0 mil (no restring)
Annulus Isolate - 0 mil (no restring)
i’ve tried with or without the restring option but it doesn’t seem to change anything.
the only thing that shows up differently is if I set thermal isolate to 10 mils the size of the ring around the via (in the fill layer) increases.
Use the “Change” tool.
Click the wrench, go to “Thermals”, then goto “On”. Then, click the offending pour, and vuala!, there you have it.
sorry figured it out… the layer wasn’t specified as a supply layer.
Layer 2 $GND
took care of that.
