Lassen iQ Evaluation Kit - USB

I have a Lassen iQ Evaluation Kit – USB (SKU# GPS-00165). The first time I setup the kit and tested it, everything was working according to the evaluation manual, except that I did not see any PPS output from the board.

I performed “factory reset” a few times and now when I plug in the board, none of the settings in the software (IQ_Monitor) are shown. Only the Tx light seem to be blinking. No other status changes. Is there anything I need to fix?

Hi

I am also using the trimble lasssen iQ gps module

and was trying to read raw data from it onto my pc

when i run iQ monitor it works fine

but if i try to read data onto hyperterminal it just spews out garbage

can some one help

i tried all the settings on hyperterminal

baud rates-4800

and 8-N-1

and i believe all the options available none of them gives out the right data

I have the same issue with the Trimble Copernicus module, everything is hooked up properly, but Copernicus Monitor just blinks the TX repeatedly. I get nothing else, not even through hyperterminal.

Have i missed something in set up? Do I need to send a msg to the module??? Somebody please!! This is driving me nuts!! Enough exclamation marks!!

well you can manually reconfigure the gps receiver

i did that and now it works fine

Oh dear

It seemed that screwing in the cables to the ports did the trick. Very ashamed. Very very ashamed.
