Hi, I am an AI Engineer but know very little about hardware. I would like to learn how to use IMUs (either 9DoF IMU Breakout - ICM-20948 (Qwiic) or 9DoF IMU Breakout - ISM330DHCX, MMC5983MA (Qwiic) ). Is there a good project book or video on how to get started with these IMUs? Rob Reynolds posted some videos of controlling orientation of paper airplanes with a hand held IMU. This might be a good project to start but I really don’t know where to learn how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Eventually I would like to fuse IMU and camera data for Visual-Inertial Odometry, but for now simple projects to get started would be best. Thanks, Jon
Start here https://www.sparkfun.com/news/2814 and here https://www.sparkfun.com/pages/accel_gyro_guide and then you can see examples specific to each product by clicking on the ‘documents’ page of any product/item and viewing the ‘hookup guide’ that will demonstrate basic functionality
Then poke around for more complex projects using them after, then start to integrate the video aspect
