Lilypad button on circuit card-where to put conductive tape

hello,

i am creating a circuit card (button battery and light) and using a lily pad button. when I put the conductive tape underneath the button, the circuit stays on. I’ve put the conductive tape just across the sides of the button and it doesn’t connect. How do I lay the button/tape to make the circuit complete? thank you!
