Little Soundie line out outputs

Is anyone successfully using the Little Soundie line out outputs?

I connected the line out outputs to a 3W amplifier module (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078VTYQMT/), but all I get is a very low volume, distorted sound. The Little Soundie sounds fine with an amplified speaker connected to the output jack, and the amplifier works great when I connect my signal generator to it, but the combination of the Little Soundie and the amplifier module is terrible.

Hi danromanchik.

Your amp might be loading down the output from the VS1000D chip. Have you tried connecting via the headphone jack? The direct connection is DC coupled and it’s easy to load down the chip but the headphone jack is AC coupled and shouldn’t load the output.
