I bought 3 pcs and none of them show up in windows as promised. I just plug in USB cable and all of then works (red led showing) and I press Powr one time. I also tried to push it 5 times to reset.
I also tried and added 4.2V power to them but that did not help either.
2nd question about wiring audio out. Board has L and R side connecting points. Then there is one Ground on top of them. Should I split that ground to both channels?
You can not power your project from the USB port - this causes the VS1000D to boot into “USB, Mass Storage Device” mode - be sure to run through the hookup guide https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/li … 1615791300
Yes, either split the GND or use a TRS cable 
I got it to work in old Windows 7 machine. It seems it wont work on Windows 10… I tried 2 computers. Propably driver issue.
I decided to use 3.5mm cable with powered speakers… I guess it works. I just havent been able to play any sound out, just humming. I have deleted all tracks inside USB ja as quide says, just dropped new .OGG inside so there is only one file. does not play it even if I short 0 and ground to make it play it.
