I’m looking for advice on building a MB with proximity, speed, gps to be attached to two moving objects, that can both be monitored via iphone, gathering statistics. There could be more like AI and machine learning.
Not sure where/whome to talk to at Sparkfun, but was told to post here to find someone with the right tech knowledge.
Post more info about what you’re trying to do….what is the end-goal?
Is MB in this case a motherboard?
We are trying to build a device that moves, semi-autonomously, with various sensors to detect speed, and memory, or programmable GPS location destinations (almost like a drone). The idea is two objects, moving at various speeds, and being “aware” when one comes either into contact or very near. Along side this, the one device (for example and remote controlled vehicle) needs to be able to learn paths, be aware of oncoming objects and avoid them.
You probably want to take a look at some Jetson Orin Super projects (or maybe even the AGX ) and check out some preliminary info. …there are a lot of autonomous bot projects out there. As for the peripherals, we carry a large line of basically everything that you’ll need, but you’ll want to get a better idea what precisely might suit your needs (and we can help with that a bit)
Is there someone we can speak to? We are local to Boulder, and can meet either in person or online.
How much money do you have? This isn’t going to be inexpensive.
Buy a drone that already does this and add your sensors to that. No need to reinvent the wheel.
A drone is not an option at this time. We are prepared for costs
