LoRa Raspberry Pi 4 Gateway with Enclosure: Changing eth0 address disables ssh access, why?

If you follow the quick start for the “LoRa Raspberry Pi 4 Gateway with Enclosure”, “section 5.3.2. Connect to a Router via the Ethernet interface”, changing the IP address from 192.168.10.10 to 192.168.1.10 (different network same host), enter the appropriate router IP, and reboot, make the gateway inaccessible (connection refused. I’m not sure if it has to do with SSH configuration (encryption key), lack of hostname, or what? I want the gateway connected via ethernet on network “1”, not “10”. Does anyone know why this might be? Also, is HDMI disabled in the kit? RPI4 should have two active HDMI connections.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

The section here https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/q … erry-pi-os on ‘Networking Files’ (and the sections that follow) might have the relevant info…it looks like if you’ve updated, you can access an advanced settings menu using ctrl + shift + X

Here’s a second link that might be helpful if the first doesn’t pan-out https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/serv … p-address/

The HDMI issue seems to be solved by following this https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view … 8&t=244596

Hope this helps!
