I developed my firmware with IAR EW (MSP430, F449 version) and used both the MSP430-Jtag-ISO and the LPT-parallel-JTAG programmer without problem. 
:? But today I encountered two problems while using a new target card: Olimex STARTERKIT, MSP430-4619LCD:

With IAR EW 3.42A and the LPT parallel Olimex JTAG, there are no problems in debug mode, the step by step mode is fine and the PC register starts at the main start example program and properly executes the code. However with the MSP430-Jtag-ISO, the PC register starts at the main start then jumps to 3 or 4 instructions further and then jumps back to start and loops that way indefinitely. I have installed the latest EW patch and the latest driver for the Olimex ISO programmer but I cannot find the Olimex JTAG option to select in the EW environment. Instead I selected TI USB-FET.

When I received and tested the MSP430-4619LCD card, it was loaded with a complete demo program with a vertical line colour menu, selectable using the joystick and with a background picture displaying a computer keyboard. In this menu more selectable sub-routines are available to test the Flash memories, accelerometer by moving the ball and the SD/MMC CARD.
I thought that programme was the demo code, downloadable from the Olimex website, but when I tested this program, the LCD backlight blinks if I press the push button, but nothing appears on the display. I think that the demo program has a problem and is not the original that came with the board. :roll:
Would someone help me please?
