I’ve been working successfully with a design using an LPC-P2106-B board and an ARM-USB-TINY from Crossworks for a while now. When I tried to move it to the smaller LPC-H2106 (used to be LPC-H40, i believe), I’ve been failing to establish communication via the JTAG port with the part.
I’m hoping perhaps someone who has made the H2106 work with JTAG can very clearly state what is required to make it work. There seem to be others who have had this trouble in the past, but never came back to report their success methodology. I bought a second H2106 to make sure my part wasn’t bad, and I’ve checked every connection all the way from the far side of the ribbon cable through to the controller, so I’m sure I’m just missing something easy.
i’ve validated the output voltages of both regulators, i see the oscillator input working.
I have 22 (P0.17:47) to JTAG 3, and tied to 3.3v across a 10K
23 (P0.18:48) to JTAG 7
24 (P0.19:1) to JTAG 9
25 (P0.20:2) to JTAG 5
26 (P0.21:3) to JTAG 13
40 to +5vdc
2 tied to 4 to hold DBGSEL high. [the pdf seems to incorrectly indicate this should be held low for JTAG, of course ive tried that too and it doesnt work either…]
4 to JTAG 1,2
37, 1 to GND, JTAG 4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20
Crossworks gives me no love… only “Cannot identify target…”
been around and around, not sure where to go from here…
thanks much.
