LPC17xx library difference

I have downloaded two library for LPC17xx, IEC60335 and cmsis.

  • IEC60335 is full of drivers for peripherals, but no examples

  • Cmsis is a bit 'different but has many examples.

I would welcome an explanation of the differences between the two and a opinion on which to use
