Lumenati with Raspberry Pi 4

Hi, I’ve been following this guide exactly but I cannot get a single 8-stick to light up properly. A random LED might come on, but an odd colour. I’ve used 3 different 8-sticks and two different logic level converters with the same result.

The only difference to this guide is that I am using a Pi 4.

Any ideas why this might be a problem?

Hi mcartmel,

We have not tested this code with the Pi 4 but you should have no issues with it as far as I can tell. You might have a connection problem here so can you please take a few photos of your boards and the circut(s) you have them in and attach them to your reply? Please do your best to make sure they are clear and well-lit. One quick note, a few users have reported some issues attaching photos directly so you may need to host them on another site (Google Drive, Imgur, etc.) and link to to them in your reply.

Hi Mark,

Thanks very much for your getting back to me. I must have had something configured incorrectly because I installed a new version of Raspian and the code worked straight away. Sorry for the false alarm.

Ah, good to hear updating the OS on your Pi fixed the problem! Let us know if you run into any other issues with your Lumenati boards or if you have any other questions and we would be happy to help.
