Is it possible to make a laser mouse with an Arduino and some components? I’d like to build a laser mouse that’s wireless if possible and connect it to a Windows computer.

The short answer is yes. We used to have a breakout board and kit for this type of solution. They are retired and we don’t sell them any more.

I’ve also searched Mouser and Digikey to see if they have inventory for the IC it was built around. ADNS2620 by Broadcom is no longer a continued product. I think you’ll have some digging to do, but I hope this helps get you started!
