Does anyone know of a PCB-friendly male cat5 jack? I checked mouser.com and found no such product, but I’m not sure if I was filtering correctly.
Basically, I want to be able to plug-in my device directly into a ethernet port. So I want a male cat5 sticking out the side of the PCB. No magnetics are necessary.
Thanks!

I don’t think such a thing exists - you’ll have to use a normal RJ45 plug. I suggest crimping wires into the plug, then glue the plug onto the PCB and solder the wires into holes in the PCB. BTW, you want a plug, not a jack (which implies female).
Others have asked about this, apparently without much luck:

Perhaps they do exist, but I wouldn’t want to pay $99 for this to find out:

Ah, I see. Thanks for the reply, Michael. And thanks for finding those links on the other forums. It is clear your Google skills are far superior to mine.
Looks like I’ll have to take your advice and glue a plug onto the PCB.
