Just received this item and working great.
However, need clarification on one point because the item documentation
does not cover it: the SYS OUT JST connector.
I am assuming that the board passes power to/from SYS OUT from/to BATT IN
so a load or battery charger can be connected through it.
Appreciate a verification or correction.

If this is the “Qwiic Fuel Gauge - MAX17048” ( https://www.sparkfun.com/products/17715 ):
The two JST connectors are connected together in parallel.
The idea is that you connect the battery pack to BATT_IN and use a JST-JST cable to connect SYS_OUT to your board.
But in reality you can connect either way round.
Please be careful with battery polarity. The board is designed for SparkFun LiPo battery packs. Other battery packs can have the opposite polarity - which can result in the “magic white smoke” being released…
