I would like to charge a LiPo battery via the on-board charger, but the battery I want to use doesn’t have a plug. so what type of plug do I need to attach in order to charge the battery with the built-in socket?

That plug is a JST-PH type and fits all of the batteries SparkFun carries. If you want to modify your battery with that connector, this [2 Wire Assembly works great.
