Hi y’all! My first post to the boards 
I’m wondering if any of y’all had any experience adding a JST connector to a single cell 18650 battery compactly. For reference, this is an example of the battery I want to use:

Technically I think the connector I want to add is the JST-XHR. This instructable does pretty much what I want:

However, it is far too bulky for my needs (it needs to fit into a small compartment in a bluetooth speaker I have). I need a very simple connector interface which I can then shrink wrap with something like this:
