So I acquired an old kit I had fond memories with as a kid (but never really fully understood) and I’m now going back 20 some odd years later to really get a grasp. I’ve come across an introductory to the transistor (project 14) and came across this explanation in the supplied manual:
…The secret to a PNP transistor is that a small change in the current from base to emitter causes a big change in the current flowing from collector to emitter…with the NPN transistor a small change in the current flowing from emitter to base can make a big change in the current flowing from emitter to collector…
They got the PNP and NPN descriptions switched right?
Thanks!
