Micromod Teensy with Segger Jlink Edu Mini

Hello!

I just obtained a micromod ATP carrier board and a Teensy processor card. I have a fair amount of experience programming the Teensy in its original form factor. I was excited to see the micromod for one reason: Debug. There is an SWD connector on the ATP card. I am so sick of debug printf()’s !

The Segger JLINK Edu Mini looked like a good bet. One that I could actually afford.

The ATP card doesn’t have the SWD connector stuffed, so I obtained one from another vendor, as well as the aformentioned Segger.

I was careful to install the SWD connector correctly, and NOT misclocked 180 degrees - which would be all too easy to do. And I verified that it was correct by ohming out the two ground pins. Yup, the correct pins.

Downloaded the Segger software - it says that the probe doesn’t support SWD !?!
OK, I tried JTAG. It complains t hat the TDO output is stuck high.

Has anybody got this working? The micromod platform is new to me, as well as the Segger hardware/software. There’s a lot of “hello world” stuff to resolve before I can get down to what I really want to do…

OK, here’ s the deal. The Teensy micromod board does NOT support the SWD socket on the carrier board. The SWD data and clock pins are NOT CONNECTED. This sucks, because the only reason I bought this board - and the Segger - was to get a Teensy with debug. Sparkfun: TELL PEOPLE on the description!!! $150 down the tube.

Drats! Was it purchased from us? If so head over to Return Policy - SparkFun Electronics (contact vendor if purchased elsewhere) and we’ll get ya squared away (30-day refund/warranty window)

Thank you for the offer, TS. However, I have unfortunately modified the ATP card. I soldered on an SWD connector :(.

We’ll make an exception in this case
