Monster Motor Board

I notice that the Monster Motor board has spots to add a couple of “large” capacitors.

When would I need to do this, and how would I size them? I am a software geek, not a EE :sunglasses:

I plan to use the board to run two 12VDC motors. One will draw 8-10 Amps, the other probably about 3. They do not run at the same time.

They are extra decoupling caps if you need them. It would really depend on what motor you’re using…
