Mood Helmet

I’m building a mood helmet.

I have this acrylic globe large enough to wear over one’s head:

The idea is to have super bright rgb led’s illuminate the inside of the helmet, so wearer’s entire field of vision is filled by a uniform wash of color. I want to have 3 arduino powered knobs on the side, to control the hue, the frequency of color change, and another variable to be determined.

I have enough arduino experience to make me think I can probably get the pots up and running to modulate the hue and frequency stuff. I’m more concerned I’m gonna fry this led or not have the power hooked up properly. I’d love to run this thing on battery power, so it wouldn’t have to be tethered to a wall wart, but I’m not well versed in power solutions.

Can you folks tell me if I’m on the right track?

I bought:

I also picked up a 12v wall wart to get things cooking. What else am I going to need?

Thanks for the help!!

Need the rest of it’s specs… Max current rating…?? 12V is fine though… Other then that, looks like you have all the major components. There are tons of tutorials for using PWM and pots to create hue…
