More Sparkfun LiPo Fuel Gauge questions

Hello!

I bought a SparkFun LiPo Fuel Gauge https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10617 back in 2016. Until now I did not have a use for it.

I think I can make it work powering a regular Arduino, not sure what it would be doing but it would be a trial for the device. I’m convinced that this device is a good fit for connecting it to the Qwiic device that exposes the four connection points to it. Which is of course https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14495 and of course this would be connected through a Qwiic Shield for Arduino, https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14352 . Powering the Arduino would be something not addressed in this forum.

But at the time my idea was to use it with the MKR1000 device from the Arduino gang, https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14394

It is at that point that reason departs because the device also has its own charging process builtin to it. :!:

I am of course looking for suggestions from all of you.

We haven’t tested these two products together, but they should work provided the library functions on the MKR1000. The charging on the Arduino board is OK to use along side the LiPo Fuel Gauge, it will just show the battery as it charges. (You should see the battery remaining percentage climbing while charging.)
