Mosasic X5 and RTK via UHF

Hello friends, can someone help me configure my mosaic x5 to transmit RTK correction with UHF output from a pair of old 915mhz 3D Robotics radios, I have reviewed tutorials for other Septentrio boards but the options in the menu of “new RCTMV3 Output” available to transmit RTK via UHF It does not match the option in the same menu by the mosaic x5 sparkfun version.

What setting do you need?

I’m imagining the 3DR radios would be considered “Serial Port” rather than explictly a UHF radio in the sense of a Pacific Crest or CalAmp type model integrated with the receiver.

How are you planning to wire these 3DR radios up?

in the righ IO terminal the wiring array is like the follow image to LoraSerial with out CTS and RTS pins

I want to set and connect these radios to send RTK corrections in RCTMv3 format

Hi @Roberto_Andrade ,

Can you please confirm if you are using this product:

I ask because we have a mosaic-X5 breakout board too.

On the RTK mosaic-X5, the green IO screw terminals provide access to the X5’s COM1 UART interface.

You will need to set up COM1 to output the RTCM messages.

You also need to configure COM1 for the correct baud rate. If the 3DR radios needs hardware flow control (RTS and CTS), you will need to configure that too.

I found this information about the 3DR Radio V2 voltages and current draw:

The 5V power and 3.3V UART complicates things. The RTK mosaic-X5 has an internal switch which can change the VIO voltage from 3.3V to 5V. But it changes both the VIO voltage and the UART signal voltage. It is not possible to output 5V VIO and have the TX, RX, RTS and CTS UART signals set to 3.3V. You will need to make sure the internal switch is set to 3.3V so that the UART voltage is correct. Then you will need to provide 5V power from another source via the Micro-USB connector.

I hope this helps,
Paul

Hi Paul,
yes my product is a base station like the photo. Next I am going to check the voltage output/input of the radio serial interface and if everything works correctly I will post the results. Thank you
