I am looking to replace the sensor element in a carbon monoxide detector. The current part TGS 812 has been out of production for many years but the tech specs look pretty similar to the MQ-9B. Are these two components interchangeable?

I would recommend replacing the whole sensor…small differences can produce 2-10x differentials very easily
Why risk your life to save a few bucks? Just buy a tested replacement from the hardware store.
