Hi sparkfun, i was just going through your forum. Your forums are very active and healthy. My compliments for that.

Now to the topic. I am a beginner in arduino. Just started. While going through the projects and products i find this small IC Msgeq7 and its product very interesting. I ordered 2 and also purchased all other components as shown is drawings from various forums. But now i am stuck :frowning: . The setup is not working. I dont know if the components are faulty or the arduino code. Can you please help me. I am directly reaching you as a last resort.

Can you please provide detailed pictures of your setup? Can you also please link to the exact diagram you are using for your setup?

I need a picture of your setup if possible. If you’re using a schematic or setup from a third party (like the bald engineer) we can’t support the set up itself. I can only try to diagnose if the MSGEQ7 chip is defective. Are the LEDs just in the ON state or are they not getting power at all? Have you probed voltages using a multimeter or an oscilloscope?
