Multi pt100 sensors using MUX on RPi 4

Hello everyone,

I want to build a temperature logger system using a raspberry pi 4, to measure 8 spots in a simulation model, with the temperature range between 0-250 celsius degrees.

so I think the best temperature sensor is pt100 three wires connection for my purpose, and using a Mux (SparkFun Qwiic Mux Breakout - 8 Channel (TCA9548A)), in order to be able to connect the 8 sensors in the circuit.

my question is, is it necessary to connect an amplifier or ADC in order to get accurate readings? if yes, then do I need 8 of (Qwiic PT100 - ADS122C04) or one is enough?

is there any difference between ADC and Qwiic PT100 - ADS122C04?

thanks in advance

You need one pt100 board per temperature sensor and each board has it’s own ADC. Shouldn’t need any kind of amplifier.

thanks for your reply, what is the pt100 board you mean exactly?

The same product you mentioned in your original post.
