is there a way to configure the Audio Player Breakout MY1690X-16S as a standalone player ?
playing a file from the sd-card with a simple trigger like setting a pin to 3,3V ?

Not without help from a microcontroller, but the WAV trigger can be used stand alone.
It’s 4x the price but 20x the performance.
