I need to get nickel tabs spot welded to a few (half dozen or so) 18650-sized Lithium cells; I thought batteries plus (retail chain) would do this, but they do not. I’d rather have this done than buy a spot welder for the very occasional use. I’d like to find local (Denver, CO area) to avoid shipping the cells around.

Any recommendation?

You could try a couple things: The hackerspace at 8th and Kalamath can probably help you out, or RC Basement in Lakewood, or most drone stores/shops should be able to help you out.
