I am using the ADC input to log voltages from a half bridge circuit, configured to produce 0-2V maximum as stipulated in the Hookup Guide.
However, for a brief moment after switch-on my circuit may produce a negative voltage, e.g. -0.2V (no more). Does anyone know whether this will damage the ADC or the OpenLog Artemis?
Thanks folks!
Ph 774 makes me think it might be a problem (0v listed as absolute min) https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/learn_tutorials/9/0/9/Apollo3_Blue_MCU_Data_Sheet_v0_9_1.pdf
You could probably use a diode in-between or something…otherwise our advice is “negative voltage spikes may harm the device” (though you are certainly free to test & report results if it ended up working fine)
