Neo F10N how to disable config Lock - CFG-SEC-CFG_LOCK

Hello,

I have a sparkfun Neo-F10N module and I had set the CFG-SEC-CFG_LOCK to value 1 on the RAM, BBR, Flash. Now I am looking to go back in and change settings but obviously because the configuration is locked I can no longer do that. Is there any method to turn this off? I have tried sending reset default config messages to the binary console in u-center but I am not able to input anything as it is greyed out i assume due to it being in a locked state.

What can be done to recover this module and set it back to factory defaults. Could I get the f10n firmware so I could reflash my module?

Thanks

Hi Devin (@dward ),

Some of the u-blox GNSS module settings are truly One Time Programmable, and SEC-CFG_LOCK may be one of them.

I will send you the firmware in a Private Message.

Please let us know how it goes. Either way, this will be useful knowledge for other users.

Best wishes,
Paul

Managed to recover it using the firmware. I used the firmware update tool on u-center2 with baudrate set to 115200 and only the “use chip erase” setting turned on. I tried using safemode but was not successful with that.

Thanks Paul!
