I see that SFE is selling Netduinos. I wanted to open the board layout file - extension BRD, but was unable to do so with Eagle. How can I open this file?
Any enlightenment will be appreciated.

Hi Vic,
The Netduino is a 4-layer board. The free version of Eagle can’t handle this; we use Cadence Allegro for design.

(FYI, you can still use the free version of EAGLE to view 4 layer designs…

It’s still a Cadence Allegro .brd file and not an EAGLE .brd file. (the 4 layer board thing being a bit of a red herring?) Did you try the free Cadence viewer?
Ah yes. Opening it with Notepad reveals at the very bottom: “Type: Allegro Board”.
A PDF with measurements of the features would still equall the same “usefulness”…
