I am a new hobbyist and looking into using SparkFun Nano Power Timer in a a simple LED circuit that will give me the following results:
-
Turn an LED “ON” for 6-10 minutes and then turn “OFF”
-
Have this cycle on an hourly interval
Is this the correct item to use on the desired effects that I am looking for?
Thanks for the assistance.

If I understand the information in the hookup guide, you will still need a microcontroller to cycle that process. The timer only has a delay before it permanently turns the power on. I think if you use add a microcontroller, you can utilized it to trigger a reset to disconnect the power. That being said, a low power microcontroller and mosfet (or power controller) might be the simplest solution (hardware wise).
